Cast Iron Cooking Class

February 2 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

$50.00

Spring is just around the corner, so it’s a great time to perfect your cast-iron cooking skills. Cast iron has been used for cooking for hundreds of years. Cast iron’s ability to withstand and maintain very high temperatures makes it a common choice for searing or frying, and its excellent heat diffusion and retention makes it a good option for long-cooking stews.

In this weekend’s outdoor technique classes, you’ll learn how to make some delicious recipes and how to properly care for this specialty cookware.

MENU:

◾French Toast with Powered Sugar Glaze
◾Gourmet Macaroni and Cheese
◾Beef Stew
◾3 Berry Cobbler

This two-hour long technique class is hands on and includes tastings of prepared dishes. So come hungry and leave happy!
Class size is limited so register early to secure your plate.

**Park admission is not included in the cooking class. The park entrance fees are as follows: $4 per car with a single occupant or $6 per car with 2 – 8 occupants. Carpooling or use of State Park Annual Passes is encouraged!**
