Child and Babysitting Courses
The Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) program from ASHI gives teenagers and young adults everything they need to know for safe and successful babysitting. From getting started with their business to dealing with parents and children, to key safety, caregiving, and first aid tips, the magazine-format CABS guide, and vlogger-style video make learning fun. You will receive a Child and Infant First Aid / CPR AED certification. All courses are same-day certifications.
CPR / First Aid and AED Training
First Aid, CPR, AED courses are designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (for example, OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. The First Aid portion teaches students first aid actions for medical emergencies and skills for handling injury and environmental emergencies, including external bleeding, broken bones and sprains, and bites and stings. You will receive a First Aid / CPR AED certification. All courses are same-day certifications.
Wilderness First Aid Training
Prepare for the unexpected with this engaging, hands-on introduction to wilderness medicine, taught over two or two and a half days. If you like to take short trips relatively close to medical resources, work at wilderness camps, enjoy weekend family outdoor activities, or recreate outdoors, this course is for you.
This course is great for people of all experience levels and is best suited for those who recreate outdoors where EMS response can be expected in a timely manner (fewer than eight hours). You’ll learn the Patient Assessment System, how to provide effective first aid treatments for injuries and illnesses common in the outdoors, and how to make appropriate evacuation decisions. You will receive a Wilderness First Aid certification. All courses are 2-day certifications.
Instructor Development Training
Whether you’re an entrepreneur looking to start your own emergency care training business or the newly designated training coordinator at your company or agency, the ASHI and MEDIC First Aid Instructor Development Course (IDC) is an effective way to do both. Using a blended training approach, the IDC combines an initial online learning session to develop cognitive understanding, followed by an in-person classroom session for practicing instructional skills.
